In partnership with the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, the Worcester Bravehearts willl have two members partcipating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge this Summer. General Manager Dave "Peterman" Peterson and Team President and Owner John Creedon Jr will be going head-to-head to see who can raise more money for the ALS Association.
On the Bravehearts Opening Night on May 27, Dave Peterson will be soaked live on the field after the Bravehearts game and before the team's Friday Night Fireworks show. Peterson will pick the winner of the 50/50 raffle on the field as well, in which the proceeds will also go to the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter. Peterson has also said he will send anyone that donates to his cause two tickets to the Bravehearts Opening Night game on May 27.
One week later, on June 3, John Creedon Jr will get dumped at the Second Annual Bay State Savings Bank CEO Soak. Inspired by the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, the CEO Soak engages corporate, business and community leaders to get soaked for ALS.
As a final catch, whoever raises the most money will also receive a live at-bat during one of the Bravehearts You-Choose-The-Rules game on June 7 or June 8.
