Worcester, MA-  The Worcester Bravehearts have announced their “You-Create-The-Jersey” contest, which is the latest promotion of their “Twenty-Twenty-You” campaign. This contest will allow fans to design a concept of a Bravehearts jersey to possibly be worn during a game in the 2022 season. The jerseys will then get auctioned off with proceeds going to a local non-profit. As part of the promotion, fans who design a jersey can also choose which non-profit these proceeds will go to.

Throughout the off-season, the team has announced promotions where the fans will be in control of events happening at the ballpark this summer. The jersey creation contest is the latest Twenty-Twenty-You promotion after the team announced earlier in February fans will be able to actually put their faces on the team’s right field wall.

“We are encouraging our fans to get involved in every way possible this season, including in our mission to help the community,” said Bravehearts Director of Fan Experience Donny Porcaro. “ Not only will you be able to create a jersey, but also find a cause that is special to you and make a difference.”

After taking submissions, the Bravehearts will host a fan vote for the five finalist jerseys. The winning jersey design will be digitally recreated and worn by the Bravehearts on the field during their game on July 31 against the Norwich Sea Unicorns. The winning designer will be able to throw out the first pitch at the game and get a custom jersey of their design. Special consideration will be given to those that model their jersey with a theme of their preferred charity.

Fans will be able to create jerseys using the physical template with markers, or by using online design platforms. Entries can be submitted on the team’s website or by mailing them to the Bravehearts office located at 39 Jolma Rd, Worcester MA 01604. The deadline to submit jerseys is April 1.

This will be the second season that the Bravehearts have run a fan-created jersey promotion, with last year’s proceeds going to HMEA Autism Resource Central. This year’s twist will feature the five finalists being highlighted and voted on by the fans to decide a winning jersey, along with the option for fans to choose where the proceeds go.

“The Bravehearts 2022 season is going to be built on creativity,” said Bravehearts General Manager Dave Peterson. “We want you to get creative, and see your jersey live in action this summer!”

The Worcester Bravehearts home opener is slated for May 27 against the Nashua Silver Knights. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 pm with pre-game ceremonies starting at 6 pm.
